Krista Parker loves being part of the team here at Trinity. It is her great joy to see God’s love at work among the students and the staff.

Krista was born and raised in Prospect Heights, Illinois.  She attended Immanuel Lutheran School in Palatine and then St. Viator High School in Arlington Heights, where she played basketball, volleyball, and ran track. Continuing her education at Concordia University Wisconsin, Krista earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Adaptive Education. She also played on the women’s basketball team during her college years.

Mrs. Parker began her teaching career at St. Martini Lutheran School in Milwaukee. After two years, she accepted the third-grade teaching position at Trinity and continues to serve the Lord in that capacity.

Krista herself keeps on learning. She reads education books and collaborates with other teachers about ways to give students a fun yet challenging school experience. Her classroom is buzzing with children working collaboratively and moving with purpose to different stations and activities. Krista also coaches the fifth- and sixth-grade girls’ basketball team. She looks forward to helping the girls know and love basketball as she does.

Away from school, Krista enjoys time at home with her husband, Brandon, their young sons, Cameron and Colton, and the dogs, Wrigley and Riley. Her family loves being active, taking bike rides, and shooting hoops in the backyard.  As an Illinois native, Krista says she will forever be true to the Cubs and the Bears. Yes, home is where the heart is, especially when it comes to sports!  We get it.

Krista knows that God has guided her through trials and tribulations and especially appreciates the awesome reminder in Psalm 46:1.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
