Rebecca Fick brings a faithful spirit of service to Trinity Lutheran Church and School. She is dedicated to teaching and enjoys seeing her students develop their talents and abilities.
Becky attended Concordia University Nebraska where she received a Lutheran teaching degree, majoring in Music and minoring in Speech and Drama. She also studied at Michigan State University, earning her master’s degree in Education, Curriculum, and Instruction with an emphasis in Music. Over the years, Becky has performed and toured with several choirs and served often as a soloist. Participating in a world mission tour with Concordia University’s A Cappella Choir was a highlight.
Mrs. Fick first worked as teacher, music director, and organist at St. John Lutheran Church and School in Ionia, Michigan. In Wisconsin she has applied these same talents at Concordia Lutheran in Sturtevant and Redeemer Lutheran in Racine.
Here at Trinity Mrs. Fick is our music director, music specialist, and organist. She teaches music classes to grades K3–8 and recorder lessons to grades 3 & 4. Becky also directs several choirs: K3/4/&5, grades 1–4, hand chimes, junior handbells, and senior choir.
Becky is married to Ken, who is retired from his sixth-grade teaching position here at Trinity. The Ficks are blessed with three adult children and three young granddaughters. When recreation finds its way onto Becky’s to-do list, she enjoys fishing with her family, walking, and swimming.
Becky finds hope in Psalm 119:105. Thy Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
