Kathy Niermann is excited to be teaching at Trinity and sharing the love of Jesus with her fourth- grade students.

Kathy was born in Springfield, Illinois, and moved with her family to the small town of Pilot Knob, Missouri, when she was only one. She became an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ironton and went to school in the Arcadia Valley School District. Kathy attended the University of Missouri in St. Louis and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education.

Mrs. Niermann taught for three years at Atonement Lutheran School in Florissant, Missouri, and then for six more in the Hazelwood School District. She spent most of those years teaching first grade but also gained valuable experience in the second- and fourth-grade classrooms. While Kathy’s husband, Scott, served as pastor of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ferrin, Illinois, Kathy took on a new work—staying at home with their five children.

In 2017, Kathy’s husband accepted a call to Risen Savior Lutheran Church in Franklin, Wisconsin. Mrs. Niermann believes God was calling her to teach again, and she feels blessed to be on Trinity’s team. Kathy loves teaching fourth grade in a Christ-centered environment.

Kathy, Scott, and their four younger children (Lillian, Madison, Henry, and Quincy) live in New Berlin, and Megan, the oldest, attends college in Kansas City, Missouri. Kathy and her family are truly enjoying Wisconsin and all it has to offer.

Kathy’s favorite Bible passage (one of many!) is her confirmation verse, Matthew 6:33.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
